Pleasant floor refinishing experience right from the start. The owner Scott arrived on time, took measurements and was able to provide the estimate immediately. He was able to get us on the schedule in three weeks. Jonatan and crew did an awesome job, and the floors look like a brand-new installation. We selected the water base stain and sealer, and it looks great!

I was very satisfied with the preplanning as well as the installation. They promptly responded to my questions prior to the install. The team arrived on time, was very respectful of the residence, and finished the job on time, including removal of all demo materials. Highly recommend this company!

This review is long overdue. They installed my backsplash last year December. Scott promptly provided an estimate, and Jonathan ensured the installation was perfect to my liking. The installer, Rafael, is truly an artist; he worked quickly and cleanly. I'm deducting 1 star because Rafael miscalculated the needed backsplash, advising me to purchase extra 2 boxes that went unused. However, I'm pleased with how my backsplash was installed overall.

Footprints Floors did a very good job installing hardwood tiles in our family room, including staining & installing "transition molds". They worked with our availability, by a July 4 vacation date.

Footprints did a great job with my floors and staircase. The crew did a great job walking me through any issues and were always punctual.

Scott is a great guy, a real gentleman, and really knows his business. He listened to what we needed done. He gave us the estimate then & there. He put in our floor three years ago, but now we needed some closets floored. Thank goodness we kept left over planking. Jonathan Gonzalez was our project manager. He kept in touch with me during the weeks before our scheduled time. On the job date he let me know when he & his crew would arrive & they were right on time. They installed flooring beautifully & cleaned up after they were done. All the crew was professional & courteous. My husband and I highly recommend Scott and Footprints Flooring.

From the estimate to the execution, Footprint Floors was excellent! I am big on communication during these types of projects and you get your own project manager (Jonatan was excellent!) who keeps you updated and informed throughout the process. I was blown away by the work. They are perfectionists with sanding and staining. My newly refinished floors are a dream in my 100 year old original wood home. I cannot say enough good things about Footprint Floors. Highly recommend!! UPDATE: I accidentally got a stain on my new floors while stripping paint on my steps. I texted my project manager, Jonatan, and he asked around before providing me the best solution for the stain. That method didn’t work so he came out to sand it down and refinish it. This was weeks AFTER I paid and left a glowing review. This company truly cares about their customers and goes above and beyond. I’m blown away by the exceptional service.

Footprint Floors is a rarity in the wild west of construction. My job required some out-of-the-box thinking. Instead of the standard no we can’t do that response. Scott the owner said “I’ll figure it out and make it happen”. Which is exactly what they did and I ended up with a gorgeous ceramic floor in my new Florida room.

Excellent refinishing of my hardwood floors. From initial consult to final day of work, everything was smooth and easy. My "new" floor looks great! They were even able to correct a spot of heavy water damage.

Scott and his crew at Footprints Flooring took on a complicated floor repair and finishing job in our 1867 built home on a short timeline. Working with them was a pleasure. He worked above and beyond expectations to finish quickly and with excellent results. Footprints would be my first choice for hardwood flooring in the future. When the materials were unavailable to meet our needs on our timeline they worked overtime to source and mill the wood onsite and actually saved us money

I got a quote for my living room to replace carpet with LVP and within a week the work was completed. It was very simple and easy. You do, in some cases, have to buy the materials yourself so I recommend you are very clear on what you need to buy with the estimator (I.e transition materials). Would use this group again!

From the appraisal to the end of the job, they were awesome. Eddie the appraiser, worked with me and showed how they could correct a bad job on ceramic tile repair and how they could correct it. He helped me through the process and told me when they were coming. He checked the grout to match my old grout and made sure everything matched. The tile man came on time and did amazing job. Jonatan came and checked on the job to make sure everything was going great and then came back and checked how it looked when finished. It was a great experience working with this company. I was so impressed.

Have a mid-Century trilevel with unfinished oak floors. Footprints brought back the floors to life. Maybe not the cheapest but certainly the best in RVA.

I am so happy with my new beautiful floors. Footprints floors was great to work with! Scott was great with communication and answering all my questions! They were so quick, the demo took 1 day, and flooring took a day and a half for the entire house! Highly recommend! Jonatan managed the project throughout and everyone did a fantastic job! Only thing I will mention is if you want flooring under your hot water heater make sure to have it drained and moved before footprints arrives as they are not licensed drain water heaters. Thank you guys so much! It looks so great!

My 20+ year old floors look brand new!

The young men who worked on our floors- we had a crew install both hardwood & also vinyl planks and a different crew who refinished stairs and a room- were all extremely hard workers, polite and cleaned up after their work each day. The project manager, Jonatan, was also polite and followed up with us daily and had a good rapport with the crews. We would definitely have them back to do additional work at our house.

My home was built around 2000. I had hardwood floors throughout my downstairs except my living room was wall to wall carpet. With two dogs and lots of age, my carpet only came so clean after professional cleaning. It was embarrassing. I had it in my mind to look into replacing the carpet with hardwood floors. Without any recommendations, I googled hardwood floors in the Richmond area. Footprint Floors was the first of three websites that I found and reached out to. It was only a few days before Scott, the owner, came to my house to talk with me about what my thoughts were. I knew that replacing the carpet in the living room was number one, so that was the first idea. The second idea…If I could have it my way, I would have hardwood flooring put into the living room and have all existing downstairs flooring sanded and stained with the darker brown stain to match the new flooring in my living room and give my floors a contemporary look and a much-needed upgrade. We went around downstairs and Scott called out measurements as I wrote them down. He did some figuring and let me know a breakdown of costs as well as the total cost to have all my entire downstairs with refurbished hardwood flooring stained in a darker brown. I was surprised by the total cost. I had the job priced by two other flooring companies and Footprint Floors was the lowest cost. It did not take me long to say, “Let’s do this.” The work started a week to 10 days later. Scott told me what to expect. Jonatan who headed up the project communicated with me each day and answered questions I had while Scott checked in as well. I’ve got to tell you; my floors look amazing! My downstairs went from ho-hum to extremely classy and contemporary. It is a show place! The price was quite affordable and the flooring is first class, no doubt. I know that if and when I resell the house, these improvements are going to raise the value big time. But I don’t really want to sell because I am so pumped up about my space now. This is an upstairs mast bath. I performed the demo and they did he tile work. They did an excellent job. They had layout and finish suggestions I didn't think about. They cleaned up everyday and used cloth runners in the house. I would definitely recommend this company.

On the day of my initial visit Scott called ahead and arrived on time. When he arrived he didn't walk on our grass and took his shoes off when he entered our home. After inspecting the damage and taking photos he gave me a great estimate. He told me he was going to his car, when he returned he had tools in hand and said "I may be able to fix it today!" To my surprise he sat down and began to work. As I watched him, I teared up. Not only was he professional, personable, kind and respectful he's also skilled. Scott Thank You so much! The men who did the work came on time, worked professionally, did a great job, cleaned up all of the area after the installation, helped us move furniture around to allow for the installation, and took away all rubbish from the job. They were great. Each one was very polite, respectful, patient with our questions and needs, and left a very positive impression on us. The job was estimated to take two days, but they finished in one. That's unusual, but it was nice to have it completed ahead of time instead of later. Thanks!

Footprints did a great job on my floor. They were able to start quickly and finished when they said they would. The price was competitive and when they found old staining once the floors were sanded, they helped me choose the best path forward. The floors look great now!

I called Footprints eight days before I was moving into my home. Scott came out to look at my project the following day (Friday), had his crew mobilized on Monday, and the project completed on Wednesday so the floors had time to dry before my movers arrived on Friday. I was truly amazed that they were able to squeeze me in and get my floors refinished before I moved it - it would have been a huge pain at any other time. The floors turned out great and I have nothing but positive feelings toward the experience!

We had a subway tile backsplash installed in our kitchen by an “artist” from Footprints Floors. I use artist because his work was meticulous and beautiful. The backsplash makes a huge difference in the look of our kitchen in addition to protecting the wall from splashes. I recommend this business wholeheartedly!

Scott came out and gave us an estimate and gave us all of our options for updating our hardwood floors. After 3 estimates, we decided to go with Foot Prints. They had one crew come out and remove all of the old hardwood. They did it in one day. The next day another crew came to install the new flooring. Both crews were extremely efficient and hard working. They did an amazing job. The floors look even better than I could have imagined. I would definitely recommend Footprints Floors. Scott stayed in touch and everything was in writing which I appreciated.

Even though I didn’t go with Footprints, I must say the contractor that came out was on time when coming out to provide me with an estimate. He was very professional and precise with measurements. He gave me all the information I needed and educated me on what I didn’t know. Thank you!

After my Thumbtack inquiry, I was contacted by "Footprint Floors". I requested an appointment for measuring and proposal for installation of laminate flooring. I was immediately contacted by Mike and appointment was set. Mike was timely, friendly and professional. I had other contractors working in my home, and he worked around them and their mess and provided me a thorough and comprehensive proposal. I signed on the dotted line and less than a week later, my home looks AMAZING! Scott (owner) was at my home several times - both days of install - explaining process, checking on progress and checking in with his crew (who are GREAT)!!! He went above and beyond to be accountable for the work that was being performed at my home. I work in Property Management and deal with contractors on a daily basis - Footprints Floors were above and beyond my expectation. Thank you Scott, Mike and crew.
