In the Case of a Plumbing Emergency, We’re Here

Trusted Emergency Services in Ohio & North Carolina, {fran_state_abbrev}

A burst pipe, backed-up sewer line, or malfunctioning toilet can quickly turn into a stressful situation. The inability to use essential fixtures, like your sink or shower, disrupts normal household routines.

Beyond the inconvenience, plumbing emergencies can create serious problems. Leaking water can damage floors, walls, and foundations. Sewer issues can introduce harmful bacteria and toxic smells into your home. Plumbing issues like these require immediate attention from experienced professionals who can respond quickly and safely.

WyattWorks is your trusted Ohio & North Carolina 24-hour plumber, providing prompt and reliable service whenever you need it most.

Common Plumbing Emergencies

When a plumbing emergency occurs, experience matters. Homeowners can rely on WyattWorks’s responsive service and knowledgeable technicians.

No matter the time of day, our team is prepared to restore safety and functionality to your home.

Plumbing Emergencies:

Burst Pipes

A burst pipe is one of the most destructive plumbing emergencies a homeowner can experience. Pipes most commonly fail due to freezing conditions, corrosion, excessive water pressure, or long-term material deterioration.

When a pipe ruptures, pressurized water pours into surrounding walls, ceilings, and flooring. This can cause structural damage and create ideal conditions for mold and mildew growth. Prompt shutoff and professional repair are essential to limiting water damage.

Sewer Line Backups

A sewer line backup occurs when wastewater cannot flow through the main sewer line and instead backs up into the home through drains, tubs, or toilets. Invasive tree roots, accumulated grease and debris, pipe misalignment, or collapsed sewer piping often cause these blockages.

Raw sewage contains harmful bacteria and pathogens that pose significant health risks. In addition to awful odors, backups can contaminate living spaces and cause extensive property damage if not addressed immediately by a qualified plumber.

Overflowing Toilets

While a simple obstruction may be cleared with a plunger, repeated overflows often indicate a deeper blockage within the drain line or a developing issue within the home’s sewer system.

If plunging doesn’t resolve the problem, it’s time to call in WyattWorks. A professional diagnosis will fix your toilet and prevent repeated overflows, wastewater exposure, and damage to flooring and subfloor materials.

Major Water Leaks

Significant plumbing leaks often develop behind walls, beneath concrete slabs, or around major appliances such as water heaters. These leaks may go unnoticed until warning signs appear—reduced water pressure, damp spots on surfaces, or an unexplained spike in water bills.

Undetected leaks can compromise structural materials, promote mold growth, and weaken the home’s foundation. Early identification and repair are essential to stop long-term structural and moisture-related damage.

Sump Pump Failure

Sump pumps protect basements and crawl spaces by pumping excess groundwater away from the home’s foundation. If the sump pump fails, water can accumulate quickly and overwhelm the area it is designed to protect.

Common causes of failure include power outages, mechanical wear, clogged discharge lines, improper installation, or severe weather.

If possible, shut off the main water supply to stop additional water from entering the plumbing system. Try to identify the source of the leak or issue so you can better explain the situation to your plumber.

Avoid using affected fixtures, especially if there is a backup or severe clog. If water is leaking, move nearby valuables and try to limit the spread of water until a professional plumber arrives to assess the situation.

Response times vary by location and weather conditions, but emergency plumbing services are designed to assist as quickly as possible. WyattWorks prioritizes urgent calls and will dispatch a qualified technician promptly to address the problem and restore your plumbing system.

Emergency plumbing services may carry additional costs due to after-hours response and the urgent nature of the repairs. However, prompt professional service in emergencies can help limit water damage, structural issues, and long-term repair costs.

While not every plumbing emergency can be avoided, many issues can be reduced through routine maintenance and early detection. Regular inspections, addressing leaks, properly maintaining drains, and monitoring water pressure can help reduce the likelihood of major plumbing failures.

If you’re experiencing a burst pipe, sewer backup, overflowing toilet, or major leak, it’s important to contact a licensed emergency plumber right away. WyattWorks provides reliable emergency plumbing services with trained technicians who can quickly diagnose the issue and perform the necessary repairs.

Have used Wyatt Plumbing several times and all of the people are knowledgeable and professional. Ben actually said I did not need to do the work I had ordered and saved us the money we would have spent on it. Will continue to use Wyatt for all plumbing and HVAC.
  • Nancy P
Very professional and friendly. Completed the work in one day. Provided choices/prices in different ways to solve the problem. Would definitely use WyattWorks again
  • L M
The technician was most pleasant and explained everything that he noticed. He was only here to do a plumbing evaluation of the home. He gave some excellent insights about the workings of the home. I would highly recommend him again. He replaced a leaky faucet for one of our bathroom sinks, and also replaced four turn off valves for the supply lines for both sinks.
  • Kristen G
Austin was very professional and took on this 100 yr old brass kitchen facet! It's still not dripping!! Thank you Austin!
  • David Darmstadt
Kyle, my service technician was extremely polite. He asked what needs to be done. Quoted me a price with options and completed the work very efficiently and professionally, and even cleaned the floor behind the refrigerator where the work had to be done at. he also brought everything else up to code. Wyattworks might not be the Cheapest, but they do the best work and it’s done right the first time.

Another great experience with WyattWorks! I had the pleasure of getting to know Jean, who is simply outstanding. Not only are his expertise and workmanship excellent, he is a great teacher, kind, and a joy to talk to. Thank you, Jean!
  • kristine0
Had to have all 7 smoke detectors replaced and an outlet replaced. The only complaint is that when I made the appointment through the chat option, I said that I needed them to bring the smoke detectors. This was not relayed to the electrician and he had to go purchase them. Nothing that I talked about via the chat was relayed to the electrician. Maybe get rid of making appointments that way.
  • Mark Koury

  • Nick Bruno
I've had, kid you not, 4 "big name" plumbing companies give me a quote on unclogging my bathroom sink pipe. The least expensive was $500. Didn't inspect anything, didn't ask questions, they just looked at the sink an pulled out their little chart and said "bathroom sink, $500". I said its a clog barely outta reach of me, it'll likely take you less than 10 minutes...$500. See ya. The following 3 companies wouldn't even entertain snaking the pipe, all tried to pressure me into ridiculous cost of completely replacing the plumbing stack. Is it needed in the future? Sure, but from a simple clog to a 10,12,14k major remodel? Forget them. Find a company that'll do right by you, not only their pocket. Theo was my tech today and he was 10/10. Very knowledgeable, super respectful and most importantly, REAL. He checked out the sink, checked out the stack, did a full inspection and guess what? He then executed the job that was asked of him. 10 minutes completely cleared out the clog. This sink hasn't worked in almost a year because I refused to be strong armed by a money hungry company. Glad I waited! Keep doing you Wyatt Works! I already have 2 people reaching out to you for their needs.
  • Eric Van Boxel
    Excellent job as always!!!!
